Last week, we had lots of fun in class. we met Prof. Fernandez and we really had a good time. First, we drew a picture in our own notebook and wrote about the picture. Then we made group images because, we wanted to put everybody's ideas in an one image and it was really easy and interesting to work in a
group. Also, we mixed the calk and charcoal with Crisco to made colors. I think Prof. Fernandez wanted to show us how people work in the past with animal fat and calk. We worked like a very oldest artist who lived together and worked together.
** I learned so much from first three chapter, i know what is art, what is creativity, visual toolbox: lines, shapes, colors, space, motion, light and time. Also, two dimensional, three dimensional, abstract art and so on...

Practice post # 3, Artist Research
ARTIST : ROBIN RHODE
Monument of the chairmam
by : Robin Rhode.
`
Robin Rhode conveys lines in an unconventional way (which often is spray paint or chalk on walls or roads outside) to describe an action. Rhode’s work creates an interaction between a person and these lines, that functions as performance art and graffiti at the same time. Rhode also often uses photography of this interaction to create a series that read like a real life flip book. An example of this is shown above in Rhode’s piece, Monument to the Chairman.
